Everything a member can do on the site, they can do from their own server. Base URL https://ebook.1bz.biz. The full interactive reference is at /api/docs and the machine-readable spec at /api/openapi.json.

1. Get an API key

Log in once in the browser, then create a key. The key is shown once; store it. Send it on every call as the X-API-Key header — no passwords, no expiring tokens. Revoke it any time.

# create (needs a browser login token once)
curl -X POST https://ebook.1bz.biz/api/v1/authors/me/api-keys \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <jwt from /api/v1/auth/login>" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"label":"my-server"}'
# -> {"key":"ebk_…", "prefix":"ebk_xxxx", ...}   ← shown once

# list / revoke
curl https://ebook.1bz.biz/api/v1/authors/me/api-keys -H "X-API-Key: ebk_…"
curl -X DELETE https://ebook.1bz.biz/api/v1/authors/me/api-keys/<id> -H "X-API-Key: ebk_…"

2. Publish a book — one call

This runs the whole ebook process: notice, declaration, payment (often 0 inside your free quota), blockchain proof, 30-day public notice, NFT, certificate, and publication. The response carries the notice number (cnn) — track it at /verify.

curl -X POST https://ebook.1bz.biz/api/v1/copyguard/notices \
  -H "X-API-Key: ebk_…" \
  -F "title=My Book" \
  -F "channel=ebook" \ # ebook | amazon_kdp | other
  -F "category=nonfiction" \
  -F "file=@/path/to/book.epub" # EPUB, PDF or Markdown, ≤ your plan's MB cap

# Publishers publishing ON BEHALF of an author add the real author and the
# wallet that author is paid to. The imprint is never the author's name.
  -F "author_name=Shashikanth Ramamurthy" \
  -F "author_wallet=0x…42 chars"
  • Language is detected from the manuscript; the description is generated from the book's own text.
  • The fee, if any, comes from your plan — see pricing. A 402 means a payment is due; 413 means the file exceeds your plan's cap.
  • Poll GET /api/v1/copyguard/notices/{id} for status, or GET /api/v1/verify/{cnn} publicly.

3. Offer a free sample

Choose up to 10 sections a visitor may read without buying. List the sections, pick by index, done. Readers hit the public sample endpoint; they never receive the file.

curl https://ebook.1bz.biz/api/v1/books/<id>/sections -H "X-API-Key: ebk_…"
curl -X PUT https://ebook.1bz.biz/api/v1/books/<id>/sample -H "X-API-Key: ebk_…" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"sections":[0,1,2]}'
curl https://ebook.1bz.biz/api/v1/books/<id>/sample # public

4. Everything else — live reference

Generated from the running server's OpenAPI document, so this list is always what the API actually accepts. 🔒 = needs a key or login.

All amounts in BZeUSD. The platform never moves funds on its own; payouts are owner-signed. A public notice here is dated, verifiable evidence of a claim — not a government copyright registration.
