1. Inactive books are removed after one year

A book that is not selected for any reading for one year is treated as inactive and will be removed from the shelf. “Selected for reading” means a reader has opened the book and reading activity has been recorded against it; a title with no such activity for 365 consecutive days is inactive.

• The author or publisher is notified by email before removal.
• Removal takes the book off the shelf; it does not cancel the author's CopyGuard notice, certificate or IPVault record, which remain the author's.
• A removed book may be resubmitted at any time under the then-current terms.

2. We publish books in every language

Some large platforms do not publish every Indian language — Amazon's Kindle store, for example, does not accept Kannada, Telugu, Bengali or Punjabi. This platform publishes books in every language and script: Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, English and more. Your notice, certificate and book render correctly in your script.

3. The rules may change

1BZ Publishing may change these terms, the pricing, the publishing process or any other rule of the platform at any time, retrospectively or prospectively, where a regulatory requirement demands it or for any other reason. Changes are posted on this page with the revision date above. Continued use of the platform after a change is acceptance of it.

4. What a notice is, and is not

A public Notice of Claim on this platform is dated, public, blockchain-anchored and independently verifiable evidence of a claim. It is not a government copyright registration. A counter-claim is recorded and disclosed to the claimant; it does not by itself suspend a claim. Disputes are resolved between the parties.

5. Payments

All fees and payouts are in BZeUSD. The platform never moves funds on its own; every payout is owner-signed. To pay or be paid in local currency, contact ceo@1bz.biz. Prices and shares are on the pricing page.

6. Your bought books, and what happens if the service ends

Every book you buy is readable online, in its electronic version, using the platform's e-reader. Should the service be discontinued — for a regulatory reason or any other reason — delivery of your ebook copy by email, or sending you a download copy of the ebook, is considered satisfactory completion of the service for every title you bought.

7. Free books: reading only

A free book is open to read. Notes, highlights, quizzes and Ask the Book are features of purchased titles and are not available on free books.
