Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data — the email address and display name you register with, used to sign you in and to identify you to an author when you ask them a question.
• Reading data — which books are on your shelf, your reading position, bookmarks, highlights and notes, quiz answers, questions to authors and their replies, and your Ask-the-Book chat history. This is what lets you continue on another device.
• Technical data — the app and the site talk to our servers over HTTPS. Our servers keep ordinary request logs (IP address, time, endpoint) for security and debugging, retained for a limited period.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, device identifiers or advertising identifiers. There is no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDK.

How we use it

Only to provide the service: syncing your library and reading data, answering your questions, and notifying you on your device when an author replies. When you ask an author a question, your display name and question are shown to that author; nobody else sees them.

Storage and sharing

Your data is stored on 1BZ Publishing servers and is not sold or shared with third parties. Downloaded book files and your sign-in token are kept only in the app's private storage on your device and are removed when you sign out.

Your choices

• Sign out to remove downloads and your token from the device.
• Notification permission is optional; declining it only disables author-reply notifications.
• To access, correct or delete your account and data, contact us through ebook.1bz.biz. We delete accounts and their reading data on request.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

Any change to this policy is posted at this address with a new effective date.
